About Life Long Learning in Pharmacy

The International Conferences on Life Long Learning in Pharmacy (LLLP) are a series of conferences that have been held for the past 35 years, following the inaugural meeting in Denmark in 1990. They provide an opportunity to discuss issues of importance and relevance to advancing pharmacy practice through continuous professional development (CPD) and lifelong learning. The conferences have been convened around the world in Denmark, United States, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Croatia, Australia, Republic of Ireland (virtual), and attract pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, educators, researchers, regulators, policy-makers and professional associations from around the world.

Conference Hosts

The University of Bath and the University of Nottingham are proud to be conference co-hosts for LLLP 2027.

Organised by both universities, the conference will take place in the city of Bath, at the University of Bath's Claverton Down campus which is about a mile outside the city. Explore beyond the campus and it's easy to see why the city of Bath is the UK's only entire city on UNESCO's world heritage list, thanks to the Gothic abbey, elegant Georgian architecture and the Roman Baths, which give the city its name.

Our Gala Dinner will be hosted at the world-famous Bath Pump Rooms and Roman Baths in the centre of the city. Constructed around 70 AD, the Roman Baths were built as a grand Roman bathing and socialising complex. Today, it remains one of the best-preserved Roman remains in the world, with 1,170,000 litres of natural hot spring water still filling the ancient bathing site today. The Pump Rooms, with its Corinthian columns, glittering chandelier and spa fountain embodies what was once the heart of the Georgian social scene, when high society (including Charles Dickens and Jane Austen) visited for the waters which they believed would relieve all their illnesses and discomforts.

There will be plenty of chances to explore during the conference. Read more on the Visit Bath website.
