Novice Author Support

At the Life Long Learning in Pharmacy Conference 2027, we welcome submissions from those who may not have any previous experience of attending conferences or do not see themselves as having research-based careers. To encourage this, we are launching our novice author support stream.

What is a novice author?

It might be your first time submitting an abstract to a conference. Perhaps you usually work in practice where research is not a key aspect of your role. Or perhaps you are newly moving into research, for example as a PhD student.

What help or support can you expect?

Coming soon:

  • Hints and tips for writing a strong abstract
  • What reviewers look for in a successful abstract

If you are unsure where to begin, wondering whether your work is suitable for LLLP, or would like support with academic writing, we're here to help. A member of our Novice Author Support Team can provide guidance tailored to your needs. This may include:

  • Discussing your ideas and helping you shape them into an abstract submission
  • Reviewing a draft abstract and offering advice on academic writing style and presentation*
  • Answering questions about the abstract submission process
  • Providing guidance for those attending a conference for the first time

Our aim is to make you feel confident preparing and submitting your work.

*The novice author team will not be involved in the reviewing of submitted abstracts and therefore cannot guarantee your abstract will be accepted to LLLP2027
